How It Happened

• Hurricanes jumped out to an early three run lead in the first and never looked back in Game 1 of the series. Nick Martins led the Hurricanes on the mound going 7 strong innings allowing one run on five hits, while striking out six Lenoir hitters.
• In game two the Hurricanes saw an early back and forth battle give way to two costly errors that led the aided the Lancers in their victory. Quincy Sippio led the Camp offense with two hits in four at bats.
• In game 3 the Hurricanes and Lancers were locked in a pitchers duel as Jared Showalter led the Hurricanes on the mound going seven shutout innings. Lancer pitching kept the Camp offense at bay until the Hurricanes exploded for six runs in the 8th inning.
• Davis Powell and Richie Dudley both had multiple hits for the Hurricanes, while Thomas Fox hit a moon shot for a HR over the left field wall to seal the series clinching victory for the Hurricanes.
